🐞 Little Buggers – Eco Education for Kids (Ages 3–6) 🌱
Give your little one a love for nature that will last a lifetime!
Our Little Buggers sessions are designed for curious kids aged 3–6 years, blending fun, science, and ecology into exciting, hands-on learning.
Each week, children explore the wonders of the natural world through age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity, inspire care for the planet, and grow the next generation of eco champions. 🌏💚
📌 Where: North Richmond Community Centre
⌚ When: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
🎫 Cost: $14 per session (paid by the term) or $20 casual session

We’re launching a local Citizen Science Club right here in Kurrajong Heights – and you’re invited!
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned nature enthusiast, you’ll learn how to:
✨ Set up a trail camera effectively
✨ Store & manage your wildlife data
✨ Report your findings to citizen science apps & websites
✨ Improve backyard habitat for sustainable wildlife populations…AND MORE!
💡 Monthly meet-ups – Every month on a Sunday afternoon we’ll gather for:
· Group & one-on-one learning
· Sharing trail camera sightings
· Educational talks on biodiversity, habitat creation & genetic diversity
· Practical tips to boost your backyard’s ecosystem – from the soil up!
☕ Enjoy coffee, conversation & community with like-minded locals.
📦 We’ll be selling trail cameras, batteries, and SD cards and USB memory cards, so you can get started right away (optional).
📅 Cost: $30/month – minimum 5 participants to kick things off.

Step into the wild side of the Hills District with Tamara and Elle from Venables Ventures for a lively, hands-on exploration of the region’s most fascinating—and threatened—species.
From the haunting call of the Powerful Owl to the shimmer of the Metallic Green Carpenter Bee, this workshop dives into the incredible biodiversity hidden in your backyard—and what you can do to help protect it.

In 2018 and 2019, the Hawkesbury community came together to create KoalaFest—a vibrant, grassroots celebration of koalas, the local environment, and the people who care for it. With music, nature, and community spirit at its core, the festival quickly became a much-loved local event.
Now, after a long pause, KoalaFest returns in 2025—and it’s set to be a joyful day of connection and celebration.
